Joshua Seth Rampage was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and spent his formative years in and around the foot of Lake Michigan. He has lived in San Francisco since 2005, with the exception of sabbaticals in Australia, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Portland, OR.
Rampage’s “Secrets” series has been evolving for over a decade, and he continues to pursue the myriad possibilities of the conceptual, retinal, and personal experience contained within it.
He cites curiosity and absurdist humor as impetus for his artistic practice, which includes illustration, sculpture, writing, and music.
Rampage graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2004 with a BA in Fine Arts. He has exhibited in San Francisco, Oakland, Chicago, New York, Boston, Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
